Kanwrite is the pen brand of Kanpur Writers, a family firm from Kanpur founded by Laxmi Shankar Awasthi, whose website dates production to 1976. It is India's largest fountain pen nib manufacturer, producing tens of thousands of units a day and a wide range of steel, flex and 14k gold nibs supplied to other pen makers, alongside its own pens such as the Heritage and Desire.
