Guider Pen Works was started by G. Subbarao in 1946 in Rajahmundry, a town that has been a hub of Indian handmade pen manufacture since the 1940s, and is now run by his son Lakshmana Rao. The workshop hand-turns ebonite and acrylic fountain pens on decades-old machinery, with models like the Marala, Zimbo and Super Jumbo sold worldwide through retailers such as Fountain Pen Revolution.
