Libelle was a US-based pen brand named after the Latin-derived word for dragonfly, which served as its emblem. It was known for affordable fountain pens, rollerballs and ballpoints with deeply colored lacquer finishes and unusual materials such as marbled and mother-of-pearl resins, fitted with German steel nibs; the line was discontinued in the mid-2000s.
