Muji is a Japanese retailer founded in 1980 as a private label of the Seiyu supermarket chain, built around a minimalist 'no-brand' philosophy. Alongside household goods and clothing it sells simple, functional stationery, including an inexpensive round aluminium fountain pen that became a minor cult item among pen users.
