Paper & pairing
Warm tones (oranges, yellows, ambers) show strong contrast between light and dark areas of each stroke, which is part of why they're popular with broader nibs. This ink will behave predictably on most fountain-pen-friendly paper. Cheap, highly absorbent paper (standard copier paper) will dull any ink's saturation and can cause feathering or bleed-through with wetter nibs.

Bungukan Takizawa is a chain of large stationery stores in Niigata Prefecture, Japan, operated by Takizawa Printing, a company founded in August 1936 in Tokamachi. It runs six stores across the prefecture along with an online shop, and has released original products including the "Sessai" (雪彩) line of dye and glitter fountain pen inks inspired by Niigata's snowy scenery.
