Paper & pairing
Browns tend to photograph and scan a little darker than they look in person, worth testing before using one for anything that will be digitized. This ink will behave predictably on most fountain-pen-friendly paper. Cheap, highly absorbent paper (standard copier paper) will dull any ink's saturation and can cause feathering or bleed-through with wetter nibs.

Ecoline is a line of liquid watercolors made by Royal Talens, the Dutch art materials company founded in 1899 in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. On the market since 1930, the dye- and gum arabic-based colors are prized for their brightness and are used for illustration, calligraphy, and dip pens, offered in 60 colors as bottled liquid, brush pens, and markers.
