Blues and navies are the most broadly "safe" fountain pen colors: legible, professional, and unlikely to raise eyebrows in an office. This ink will behave predictably on most fountain-pen-friendly paper. Cheap, highly absorbent paper (standard copier paper) will dull any ink's saturation and can cause feathering or bleed-through with wetter nibs.
About Il Papiro
Il Papiro is a Florentine paper house founded in 1976 by Francesco Giannini and Gianni Parenti, two young Florentines devoted to their city's craft traditions. It keeps alive old techniques of hand paper decoration such as marbling and woodblock printing, producing marbled papers, stationery, desk accessories and calligraphy items including inks. The company has opened stores internationally, including New York (1984), Palm Beach, Melbourne and London.
Storing and using the bottle
