Paper & pairing
Blues and navies are the most broadly "safe" fountain pen colors: legible, professional, and unlikely to raise eyebrows in an office. This ink will behave predictably on most fountain-pen-friendly paper. Cheap, highly absorbent paper (standard copier paper) will dull any ink's saturation and can cause feathering or bleed-through with wetter nibs.
About Pentonote
Pentonote is a stationery shop in Fukushima City, Japan, run by a family that has been in the stationery business for nearly a century. Alongside store-exclusive Sailor and Pilot pens, it produces original fountain pen inks, most notably the "Letters from Fukushima" series inspired by Fukushima landmarks and nature. The shop also operates a cafe and reading space and ships its inks internationally.
Storing and using the bottle
