As a near-neutral tone, it reads as professional and safe for anything from journaling to signatures. This ink will behave predictably on most fountain-pen-friendly paper. About Sanford's
Sanford was established in 1857 in Massachusetts as the Sanford Manufacturing Company and became one of America's best-known ink and adhesive makers after relocating to Chicago; vintage bottles of Sanford's fountain pen ink are now collectors' items. The firm later became Sanford L.P. and today operates within Newell Brands alongside Sharpie, Paper Mate, Parker and Waterman.
